Travel Safely and Comfortably

We will use a variety of vehicles for ground transport on the tour: from enormous Volvo luxury buses to bicycle rickshaws, and everything in between. After all, it's India. That said, we spare no expense to provide the safest and highest quality vehicles available. Safety and comfort are essential elements of good tour planning. The little things matter, such as safety ratings, customer ratings, using newer vehicles, and brands you can trust such as Volvo and Mercedes Benz. Your safety and comfort is important to us. We know it's important to you too.

Ground Transport in Kerala

In Kerala, we are mostly grounded on the AyurSoma Ayurveda Royal Retreat property for the first week, receiving Ayurveda rejuvenation treatments, practicing yoga, recovering from jet lag, and taking care of ourselves. Only on our two excursions to the backwaters boat ride and Kali Temple will we be off property. The backwaters site is only 20 minutes drive from AyurSoma, and the Kali Temple is about 45 minutes drive. On both excursions we use large, new AyurSoma buses with staff drivers.

Ground Transport on Post Retreat Tour

On the Post Retreat Tour in northern India and Nepal, we will be more mobile as we move from airports to hotels to sacred sites. This segment of the journey is more tour than retreat, but worth the extra moving around. To accomplish that, we have leased a beautiful luxury buses that come with all the modern luxury features such as private bathroom, air conditioning, comfortable reclining seats, unlimited complimentary bottled water, reading lights, gangway lights, huge windows with curtains, LED Screens, DVD player, radio/USB, speakers with sub-woofers, and a highly professional staff driver and assistant.
